Seem to Violate the Law in Use of Signatures GreenView
Both of these politicians, Kaitlin Sopoci-Belknap and Dave Meserve are seeming violating the word of the Law. People who sign a petition are using it only to get something on the ballot. This signature cannot in fact be used to endorse the initiative or to sell to. Real Democracy starts by respecting honesty and integrity. All we have in this world are those things which make us who we are! We are nothing if we can be true to this system of sound rules to play by. I've signed plenty of petitions in order to have a debate because the debate is what brings out the problems in the system. The system is built on that integrity and that honesty. Real Greens should know better than to violate one key value just to promote another and in doing so have seeming lost their integrity and honesty. Remember Measure M? Just because our platform is against the genetic pollution of our environment doesn't mean we jumped on board to campaign for a doomed initiative that was proven to be unconstitutional. Your corporation measure is similarly flawed because it discriminates without due process of Law. It is also in violation of the 14th amendment. Clearly you haven't thought this out when your hyped-up ordinance won't stop a single rich guy from buying any local politicians with all the campaign cash in the world. Lobbyists who have their political leaders in their hip pocket ought not be so proud!
