Let Truth Prevail
Shaye Harty and company pervert Green ethics

GreenView
By James L. Stratton

Green Party activist James L. StrattonI have faith in the power of truth to overcome ignorance. I recently joined the Green Party to help further truth and justice in our lives, while the people trying to unelect Greg Allen are perverting Green ethics for their own ends.

How many voters have Shaye Harty, Kyana Tailon, Jesse Goplen, Fhyre Phoenix and Michael Smith brought into the Green Party? The facts of our figures are clear. Green Party numbers are going up again, by hundreds of voters this year. Their grandstanding is a cheap ploy with a June 6 election coming up. The voters will decide.

By the way, who identified the same decline in registered Greens a year ago, a decline which started and was at its worst during David Cobb’s campaign? It was the same volunteer who put together the organizing plan that is getting more Greens registered: Greg Allen. He’s being blamed for a problem that doesn’t exist!

Our Key Values are important, which is why I respect diversity. These people want total control. They are running a slate of candidates, including Shaye Harty, to take every seat on the Steering Committee they can get. Greg Allen from Arcata is running with Heidi Calton and Xandra Manns who are excellent Green organizers in Eureka. They are willing to share power. Greg Allen even wrote the amendment to add five extra seats to the Steering Committee. Guess who filled those seats? The same ingrates who are complaining about a lack of democracy!

Let truth prevail.
