NEWS Publication focused on water quality issues such as fish health Humboldt Sentinel 3/11/09 By Sentinel Staff ARCATA -- Humboldt State University’s Klamath Watershed Institute, a think tank devoted to Klamath Basin preservation, has inaugurated an official newsletter, The Klamath Current. It is the official publication of the Klamath Basin Water Quality Monitoring Coordination Group, and is available at www.humboldt.edu/~kwi/. The premier issue includes articles about Klamath River fish disease research, Salmon River monitoring, dam removal and tribal health risks posed by the Klamath’s contamination. Since mid-2007, the institute has worked with the coordination group to enhance water quality monitoring throughout the Klamath Basin.
